The South Florida Robotics Society (Sun Bots) is a non-profit hobby robotics group open to anyone interested in robots. We are also involved in promoting/encouraging public interest and awareness in robotics, as members meet, discuss, share ideas and build robots. An event called, Robot Builder’s Day Out (RBDO), will be held to assist members, work together, and actually build robot projects. Classes, workshops and one-on-one training will also be held to teach novice members about robots, and how to design and build a robot. Subjects may include construction materials, mechanics, electronics, programming, and others will provide information relating to robotics. Periodically, presentations from companies and organizations, on different subjects relevant to the field of robotics will also be scheduled. There are also several competitions that may be of interest to members. Some of these may include Sumo Robots, RoboSoccer, B.E.A.M., Firefighting Robot Contest, RoboMagellan, and others. So please tour our site, and enjoy your visit. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. We hope that you will join our group, and have fun building Robots!
